A. Product Overview
Baumer AA Series Utility Pressure Gauge is a mechanical Bourdon type pressure gauge used for routine industrial and utility pressure monitoring. It is designed as an economical and reliable solution for applications where pressure needs to be visually checked on machines, pipelines, air lines, water systems, FRL units and process equipment.
The gauge is available in standard nominal size options of 40 mm, 50 mm, 63 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm and 250 mm. Accuracy is ±1.6 percent of full scale for 63 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm and 250 mm sizes, and ±2.5 percent of full scale for 40 mm and 50 mm sizes. The Baumer AA Series is suitable for ambient temperature from -20 degree C to 65 degree C and maximum process temperature up to 150 degree C.
The gauge uses a powder coated or painted steel case, copper alloy Bourdon tube, copper alloy socket, copper alloy movement, aluminium dial, black fixed pointer and sheet glass window. It is available with different mounting types and process connection options depending on the application requirement.
B. Working Principle
Baumer AA Series Utility Pressure Gauge works on the Bourdon tube principle. When pressure enters the gauge through the process connection, it acts inside the curved Bourdon tube. As pressure increases, the Bourdon tube tends to straighten slightly. This mechanical movement is transferred through the internal movement mechanism to the pointer.
The pointer moves over the dial and shows the pressure value in the selected scale such as bar, psi, kg per cm², kPa, MPa or dual scale. Since it is a mechanical pressure gauge, it does not require external power supply for pressure indication.
C. Why It Is Used
Baumer AA Series Utility Pressure Gauge is used when a simple, economical and dependable pressure indication is required. It helps operators and maintenance teams check whether pressure is within the safe and required operating range.
It is commonly used for:
HVAC pressure monitoring
FRL unit pressure indication
Air and water line pressure checking
Hydraulic and pneumatic system monitoring
Irrigation equipment pressure indication
Valve positioner applications
Sugar mill and process industry utility pressure measurement
General machinery and equipment pressure monitoring
The gauge is useful because it provides quick visual pressure reading, helps detect abnormal pressure conditions, supports preventive maintenance and improves operational safety.
