Autonics FT-420-10 Fiber Optic Sensor
Autonics FT-420-10 Through-Beam Fiber Optic Sensor Unit
Autonics FT-420-10 is a through-beam type fiber optic sensor unit with 10 m of FREE-CUT plastic fiber, designed for long-distance, high-reliability object detection when paired with Autonics fiber amplifiers.
The Autonics FT-420-10 is a through-beam (opposed type) fiber optic sensor unit from the FT Series, optimized for applications requiring long sensing distance and high detection stability. Unlike diffuse reflective fibers, through-beam sensing provides maximum reliability for transparent, dark, or irregular objects.
It features a 10 m FREE-CUT plastic fiber cable, allowing installers to cut the fiber to the exact required length on-site. The FT-420-10 must be used with a compatible Autonics fiber optic amplifier (BF3RX, BF4R, BF5R series, etc.).

FAQs
Q1. Can FT-420-10 work without an amplifier?
No. It must be used with a compatible Autonics fiber optic amplifier.
Q2. What is the advantage of through-beam sensing?
It offers longer sensing distance and higher reliability than diffuse sensing.
Q3. What does FREE-CUT mean?
The fiber cable can be cut to the required length on-site using a proper cutter.
Q4. Is this suitable for transparent objects?
Yes. Through-beam sensors are ideal for transparent and reflective objects.
Q5. Which amplifiers are compatible?
BF3RX, BF4R, BF5R, BFX, and BFN series.
