B. Working Principle
The Baumer ZPDX works on a diaphragm pressure sensing principle. When process pressure is applied through the process connection, it acts on the diaphragm sensing element. The movement of the diaphragm is transferred to a mechanical switching mechanism inside the pressure switch.
Once the pressure reaches the set point, the microswitch changes its contact position. This switching action can be used to start or stop equipment, trigger alarms, send signals to a control panel or protect a system from unsafe pressure conditions.
