B. Working Principle
AC and DC Current Measurement
The Fluke 301E measures electrical current through the magnetic field generated around a current-carrying conductor.
When the clamp jaw is positioned around a single conductor, the instrument detects the magnetic field created by the current flowing through that conductor. Its internal sensing circuit converts the detected magnetic field into an electrical reading and displays the measured current in amperes.
For AC current measurement, the meter detects the alternating magnetic field produced by alternating current.
