- L-type PT100 temperature sensor is a type of resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensor that is shaped like the letter āLā and is used for temperature measurement in various industrial and scientific applications. PT100 RTDs are temperature sensors made of platinum with a resistance of 100 ohms at 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees fahrenheit) and follow the standard PT100 temperature-resistance curve.
