The RDCL-HFS-C-SS Internal Side Mount SS Magnetic Float Level Switch is a compact and reliable liquid level switch designed for side installation inside tanks and vessels. It is commonly used where accurate level switching is required but the tank size or tank height does not allow a standard top mounted level switch.
This internal side mount level switch is manufactured in SS304 or SS316, making it suitable for water, hot water, mild chemicals and industrial process liquids. The switch is supplied with a 1/4 inch BSP inverted male plug connection, and custom connection options such as M16, 1 inch BSP and TC fitting can also be provided as per requirement.
The standard total length is 100 mm, with a 17 mm by 55 mm float size, and both are customizable. It works within a temperature range of minus 40 degree C to 135 degree C and can operate at pressure up to 3 Bar.
B. Working Principle
The internal side mount SS magnetic float level switch works on a simple magnetic float operation principle.
As the liquid level rises or falls inside the tank, the float moves with the liquid level. A magnet inside the float activates the internal switching mechanism without direct physical contact between the liquid and electrical parts. This provides reliable level switching with good hysteresis and stable operation.
The switch can be configured as SPST normally open or SPDT normally open and normally closed depending on the application. When the liquid reaches the set level, the switch changes contact position and sends a signal to a pump, alarm, controller, PLC or automation panel.
